You don't need 25 conventions to be a good bridge player. The secret, whether you play social bridge or duplicate, is to play your cards better. This class teaches techniques for making the most of the cards you were dealt. You will learn how to become a confident declarer.

Come with a friend — or come alone and make new ones! See how quickly you can polish your bridge game.

The bridge program at Newtown Bridge Club emphasizes fun and learning from playing. These lessons use experience from playing hands to emphasize teaching points. ACBL Accredited Teacher, Susan Fronapfel, presents the lessons. Refreshments are provided.

Tuition is $13 per lesson; $10 for Newtown Bridge Club members. The textbook, Introduction to Declarer Play: Second Edition by Eddie Kantar (author) and Barbara Seagram (editor), is available at class from the instructor for $12.

Experience playing bridge is a prerequisite for this class. The first 5 classes focus on how to play notrump contracts. While you can drop-in for any class that fits your schedule, you'll get the most from this course by attending as many classes as you can.
