Bridge is a social game that provides a workout for your brain whether you’re taking classes or playing. If you’re looking for a challenge and want to make more friends, this is the game for you.

Bridge 1: The Basics is the perfect place to start whether you are a true beginner or returning to bridge after an absence of some years. It emphasizes fun and learning from playing. Everyone will be playing bridge at the first lesson! Before the end of the course, players will have the confidence to join bridge games with friends.

Come with a friend — or come alone and make new ones! See why bridge is the world's most popular card game.

Accredited instructor, Susan Fronapfel, hosts the lessons. An optional textbook, Easybridge! by Edith McMullin, is available from the instructor for $15.

Tuition is $125. If you've taken this class before and would like to take it again to refresh and hone your skills, the skill-building tuition is $60 ($50 for Newtown Bridge Club members). Classes are held at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown CT.
