Double is one of bridge’s most versatile calls and responding can be even trickier. This 8-class drop-in course explains how to understand when a double is meant for take-out, penalty or something in between. These classes will enable players to accurately describe hands in competitive auctions.

The bridge program at Newtown Bridge Club emphasizes fun and learning from playing. These lessons use experience from playing hands to emphasize teaching points. ACBL Accredited Teacher, Susan Fronapfel, presents the lessons. Refreshments are provided.

Tuition is $13 per lesson; $10 for Newtown Bridge Club members. Experience playing bridge is a prerequisite for this class. While you can drop-in for any class that fits your schedule, you'll get the most from this course by attending as many classes as you can and bringing your partner.
